Rachel Hoppenstein, MOT, OTR/L

One of the most fundamental ways we connect with ourselves and the world around us is through our bodies. I see your body as your home, and I understand that this home can sometimes carry the weight of deep emotions, past trauma, stress, or unresolved experiences, manifesting as physical tension or chronic pain. Through releasing these physical restrictions and promoting alignment, I empower you to heal and participate more fully in your life. My bodywork sessions are tailored to each individual and are often a blend of hands-on myofascial release, breathwork and educational movement. Every session is designed to create a safe space for your body to process and unwind stored tension and better integrate, leading to a renewed sense of well-being and a deeper connection to yourself.

My comprehensive approach to bodywork is shaped by my training as a yoga teacher, breathwork practitioner, and by my career as a licensed occupational therapist with a focus on manual therapy. It was during my time working with pain patients in a medical practice that my passion for manual bodywork emerged. I witnessed firsthand how the body remembers what the mind has tried to rationalize, move on from, or close a door to. Since that time, I've enhanced my skills with specialized training in John Barnes Myofascial Release, cupping, and kinesiotaping.

My aim is to help you cultivate a profound sense of embodiment in a way that is tailored to you, allowing you to move beyond past limitations and embrace a life of greater freedom and vitality. I invite you to experience how gentle, intentional body and breathwork can transform your relationship with your physical self, support you to shed patterns that no longer service you, and open you up for more presence within yourself and the world.
